TITLE: Instrument Panel Cluster - Design Release Engineer DUTIES: Responsible for the mechanical design, development, packaging, software development, software validation, testing, calibration, and releasing; will interface with systems, software and validation groups ensure all requirements, compliance and performance metrics are achieved; develop component level specifications; participate in Product Assurance Planning (Program Management); manage the supplier of the components; and component DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis), DVRR (Design Validation and Reliability Report), and Timing Proactive Quality Plan; participate in Reactive Quality Problem Solving and will be supporting Supplier Quality during Process Sign-off (PS) and PFMEA reviews (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis); responsible for releasing components via Change Management System (CN's) and will interface with; EMEA, APAC and LATAM counterparts on global commonality. **Up to 20% domestic travel required.** REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field of study and 5 years of experience in job offered or related position. Alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field of study and 3 years of experience in job offered or related position. Experience must include: developing or managing embedded software; experience in mechanical design and packaging; setting up test benches with CANoe; working with IP Cluster regulatory and compliance requirements; working with Ethernet, LIN, and CAN/CAN-FD protocols; 1 year of automotive electronic ECU development and releasing experience OTHER: Job Site: 800 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. 40 hours/week.
