What this job involves:

As a Print Production Artist at JLL, you will serve as a technically skilled specialist with extensive quality control expertise, ensuring flawless execution of print and fabrication projects while maintaining brand integrity across all client materials. This role extends beyond traditional production work to include production efficiency, technical problem-solving, and brand ambassadorship. You'll work across diverse formats including print collateral, packaging, signage, retail displays, and environmental graphics to maintain consistent visual identity while optimizing production processes for cost-effectiveness and quality.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Prepare artwork files for various print and production methods with exceptional technical accuracy
  • Evaluate materials for adherence to client brand guidelines, print specifications, and quality standards
  • Assess technical elements including color profiles, bleeds, trapping, die lines, and overall production readiness
  • Prepare print-ready files for diverse formats including brochures, magazines, direct mail, signage, and packaging
  • Create and check die lines, crop marks, fold marks, and printer's marks for structural elements
  • Perform comprehensive preflight checks on all outgoing files and troubleshoot production issues
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain quality control from concept to execution
  • Manage pre-press approvals and press checks while implementing quality control checkpoints
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Print Production, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in print production with focus on technical file preparation
  • Exceptional command of prepress and production processes with meticulous attention to detail
  • Well-versed in releasing digital assets including banner ads, social assets, and other digital formats
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
  • Experience with preflighting tools and print production software
  • Understanding of color management systems and profiles
  • Knowledge of printing processes and finishing techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with brand guidelines and production specifications
  • Understanding of retail environments and display production requirements
  • Knowledge of packaging production processes and structural design
  • Portfolio demonstrating production expertise across multiple print and fabrication platforms
  • Experience with materials science and substrate requirements
  • Knowledge of cost implications for various production decisions
  • Experience creating accurate mock-ups and prototypes
