Sr. Financial Analyst, Consolidations

GrafTech International has a challenging opportunity for a a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Analyst, Consolidations to join our team. This role will participate in the corporate consolidation process, month-end close processes, audit coordination, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and public company reporting requirements. This position will be located in Brooklyn Heights, OH.



Responsibilities:

Consolidation Reporting
* Perform corporate-level consolidations across multiple business units, and foreign entities
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance. with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
* Reconcile consolidation system data to ERP source systems.
* Monitor and analyze unusual entries, reclassifications, and consolidation adjustments.
* Work with business unit controllers to resolve discrepancies in trial balances and reporting packages.
* Support variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.

Audit Support & Internal Controls
* Assist with quarterly and annual audit processes
* Maintain proper documentation for consolidation entries, eliminations, and adjustments.
* Support internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
* Identify and recommend process improvements for stronger financial controls.

Process Improvement & Special Projects
* Maintain and enhance consolidation systems.
* Lead or support system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process standardization.
* Train and support business unit finance teams on reporting requirements and system use.
* Assist in technical accounting projects impacting consolidated reporting.

Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* 3+ years of accounting experience, (Big 4 or public accounting experience a plus).
* Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Workiva, Longview consolidation software and/or JDE ERP.
