Assistant Professor - Hospitality and Retail Management 42127BR Hospitality and Retail Mgmt Position Description The Department of Hospitality and Retail Management in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenured/tenure-track, Assistant/ Associate Professor to begin September 1, 2026. Applicants should have expertise in hotel and lodging. About the Department/School/Area Hospitality & Retail Management is one of eight departments in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Over 400 students study in the Restaurant, Hotel, & Institutional Management and Retail Management programs. Major/Essential Functions In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a dynamic student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with a breadth of student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) (or earn a Ph.D by August 31, 2026) in hospitality and tourism or closely related degree.
