Position Description

Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions

Accounting

  • Process, monitor and reconcile monthly student account transactions using the housing management system and TTU financial systems.
  • Prepare monthly financial statement, analyses, and assigned reports, proactively communicating findings and concerns with supervisor.
  • Prepare and process monthly financial revenue entries.
  • Assist supervisor with reconciling and processing fiscal year-end assigned tasks and projects.
  • Conduct financial reviews, research, and analyses for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring thoroughness and policy alignment.
  • Responsible for ensuring all transactions and reviews are accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with applicable laws, governing regulations, and institutional and departmental policies.
Budget Management & Analysis
  • Maintain and reconcile monthly departmental expense trackers to ensure alignment with fiscal year budget plans and support monthly budget meetings.
  • Collaborate with finance team members and stakeholders to respond to department and campus inquiries professionally ensuring effective communication and communicate concerns with supervisor.
  • Support the development of internal procedures, tools, and manuals to document operational practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring budget related tasks and projects are accurate, complete, timely and compliant with applicable laws, governing regulations, and institutional and departmental policies.
Procurement
  • Process, review, monitor, document, and approve purchase order transactions and vendor invoices/payments and review monthly procurement card transactions on behalf of the department to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and conformance to all governing regulations and policy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and respond to procurement-related inquiries professionally and in a timely manner. Escalate issues as appropriate and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Support the documentation of procurement procedures, contribute to internal trainings, and assist with procurement-related projects and departmental events as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus four years progressively responsible related experience; OR a combination of education and/or experience to equal eight years.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan by visiting www.depts.ttu.edu/hr/payplan.
