Hospital Operations Coordinator - Entry-Level Leadership Opportunity

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-7:30 PM
Flexibility Required: Occasional weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts

Role Overview

As a Hospital Operations Coordinator, you'll play a key leadership role in supporting daily hospital operations when the Operations Manager is unavailable. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while making a meaningful impact on patient care and team performance.

You'll help ensure equipment and supplies are running smoothly, support team development, and contribute to a positive work environment. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for healthcare operations and a desire to lead and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Daily Operations: Step in to lead hospital operations in the absence of the Operations Manager.
  • Team Support & Development: Assist with training, coaching, and performance feedback for Hospital Service Technicians (HSTs).
  • Equipment Oversight: Help manage equipment inventory, productivity, and flow to ensure smooth hospital operations.
  • Problem Solving: Address staff concerns and help implement solutions in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Scheduling & Staffing: Assist with shift scheduling and promote teamwork across all shifts.
  • Training Delivery: Help facilitate onboarding and ongoing training using the HST training manual.
  • System Supervision: Guide staff in using ASSET360 and other hospital systems effectively.
  • Hands-On Support: Pitch in with daily tasks like patient rounds, equipment delivery, and cleaning when needed.
  • Contract Awareness: Understand the basics of the hospital's service contract and help ensure compliance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare-related role, or in a leadership/support capacity
