This Position reports to: Local President, US TractionYour role and responsibilities: Establish and maintain a HSE culture within North American ABB Traction Business Line, Mechanicsville, Virginia and Mt. Olive, New Jersey, by assuring and controlling the HSE with systems, tools and teams to exceed safety expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Responsible for developing & maintaining the HSE of the local unit, sustaining positive HSE metrics, upholding continuous improvement culture. In addition, be responsible for the facility management for both locations. This role will be an onsite position, based out of Mechanicsville, VA with business travel required to Mt. Olive, NJ site. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite You will be mainly accountable for:
Qualifications for the role: *BS Health, Safety or Environmental discipline or safety related field *5+ years' experience in the field of HSE, Security and Plant/Building maintenance. *Knowledge of OSHA requirements and standards *Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication capabilities, able to work across time zones, regions, cultures, disciplines, and personalities. *Strong attention to detail, problem solving abilities, organizational skills, communication, and people skills. *Ability to build and utilize teams to resolve complex problems, identify root causes, and establish corrective actions *Candidate Must already possess a work authorization that would allow them to legally work for ABB in the United States.
