The Business Analyst I is responsible for analyzing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Uses financial concepts for planning and resource management, and for improvement, often focused on budget control and analysis of data. They may also prepare recommendations for business and financial plans, including resource allocations, future requirements, and forecasts. This role often involves conducting data analysis, developing models, preparing reports, and assisting with reporting metrics and KPIs.


Responsibilities

  • Analyzing data, creating models, and conducting cost-benefit analysis.
  • Preparing and presenting business and financial reports, both routine and ad-hoc, for various stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets, developing business and financial plans, and forecasting future requirements.
  • Gathering and interpreting data from various sources, including company databases, third-party providers, and government agencies.
  • Working with cross-functional teams, collaborating with peers, and providing support to other departments or stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitoring industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities or risks.
  • Assisting with the resolution of financial and business challenges and providing technical assistance and advice.
  • Partner with stakeholders across business units (ex: supply chain, service, operations) to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
  • Anticipate and report potential business and financial opportunities, issues, and risks.
  • Guide and collaborate with others to gather and analyze information, assist in preparing and delivering presentations.
  • Serve as a resource for departments regarding data and procedures.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, business, finance, or a related field, from an accredited program.
  • 1+ years' experience as a business analyst.
  • High proficiency in MS Power BI, Excel, Tableau, and Webflow, or similar.
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Successful completion of Spacelabs training required (including training done at the Company location).
  • Domestic Travel: up to 25% air travel possible, must be able to acquire all necessary travel documents.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, both now and in the future (e.g., H-1B visa status).
