Compensation Grade: P16Compensation Details: Minimum: $59,537.00 - Maximum: $59,537.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OHEHR) AI - AIDS InstituteJob Description: Responsibilities The Program Assistant I is located in the Bureau of HIV and STD Field Services (BHSFS) within the Division of Epidemiology, Evaluation, and Partner Services (DEEP). The individual will provide programmatic and administrative support for the Bureau, including assistance with personnel and operational management activities, conducting initial fiscal reviews for contracts, tracking contract processing, addressing the needs for medical, laboratory, and office supplies within Central Office and where needed across the state in regional/county offices, assisting in the coordination of special projects, supervision of support staff as needed, and other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of administrative and/or financial experience, human resources, operations or other program activities; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and three years of such experience; OR five years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of experience providing staff training or some other form of education requiring public speaking skills. Proficiency using a variety of software including MS Office (Word, SharePoint, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint) in the preparation of documents, and experience with video conferencing platforms (Webex, Zoom). Experience managing calendars for senior level staff. Work experience and/or working knowledge of disease screening for HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy office environment. Demonstrated, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel up to 10% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
