Morgan State PROPEL Program

The Aon PROPEL Program is a high-touch professional development initiative designed to identify, engage, and empower future leaders from Morgan State University. The program provides juniors with exposure to the professional services industry-including areas such as consulting, risk management, and insurance-alongside mentorship and career readiness training. It is structured to support students throughout their college journey, from early exploration to post-graduation launch opportunities in a hybrid setting.

What will you gain from this program

  • Monthly learning series with topics such as:
    • The Aon Story
    • Deep dive into Risk Solutions, Reinsurance, Health Solutions, and Wealth Solutions
  • Resume Workshop
  • Presentation skills
  • Monthly 1:1 meeting with your assigned mentor designed to help support you through meaningful conversations and coaching that reinforce the topics above and more.

How this opportunity is different

  • This program will help build meaningful network connections between students and Aon/industry professionals.
  • Provide structured mentorship and exposure to various risk management career pathways.
  • Will help equip students with the skills, tools, and confidence to succeed in early career roles.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Must be in your Junior Year at Morgan State with a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Interest in learning more about a career in Professional Services/Risk Management
  • Monthly commitment of 2-3 hours to meet with your Aon mentor AND attend/watch recorded monthly learning sessions from October through December.

Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Finance, Health Education, Human Resources Management, Health Education, Health and Human Sciences, Management and Business Administration, and Psychology. Additional majors will be considered if you have an interest in the field of Professional Services.
