Position Description QIAGEN Beverly, an enzyme manufacturing site 30 minutes north of Boston, is seeking a Facilities Manager/Senior Manager to oversee and maintain leased facilities located within 100 Cumming Center facility. Currently QIAGEN occupies ~62k sf in accordance with ISO13485. In this role the Facilities lead will manage direct reports as well as manage contact with the landlord and ensure the facility is safe and in good working order for each day's production. Roles and Responsibilities: - Primary contact with landlord, building issues and emergency calls. - Manage direct reports who help maintain facilities, equipment, systems. - Site Safety Coordinator and manage EHS consultant. - Maintain systems for HVAC, cold storage, plumbing, electrical, etc. some via managing contractors, some using internal resources. - Cost center owner for facilities, responsible for budget, projects, capex - Lead site projects to ensure utilities, infrastructure, etc. is ready and available to meet needs. - Routinely manage service providers including but not limited to janitorial, chem waste, bio waste, lab coats, etc... - Ensure site equipment requiring cal/val/PM is tracked and completed on time. - Coordinate "on call" status for the team to ensure alarm coverage. - Manage IT consultant - Work with Global EHS on reporting energy usage and waste generation per month - Represent Facility Department during audits - Member of the Site Leadership Team responsible for monthly presentations and participating in driving the site and the employees. - Ensure compliance to ISO13485. Filing incident reports, ensuring good housekeeping, proper usage of PPE, etc... - Owner of RODI water systems ensuring maintenance and performance via managing service providers and performing sampling for Ops testing. Position Requirements - Minimum of 5 years managing facilities and/or laboratories, preferably within ISO13485 setting or higher. - Proficient with computer systems Blue Mountain RAM, MS Office Suite, Clarity, Diligent, SRM Purchasing in SAP, REES Temp Monitoring - Experience managing people and/or facility projects (indirectly managing people) - Understanding of hazardous material handling (bio, chem, rad) and Spill Response - Knowledgeable of building systems (HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing, electrical) - Ability to work off hours as needed to help/ensure operations can continue. - Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. - This is a hands-on position as well as a manager position so it includes ability to deal with painting, spackling, water spills, equipment maintenance, etc.... Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
