This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

At Blue Origin, LLC., we are in search of a passionate Electrical Scheduler & Utilities Outage Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in managing all aspects of planned and unplanned outages while ensuring efficient scheduling of maintenance activities at our Florida-based facilities. The successful candidate will actively contribute to minimizing downtime, upholding the highest safety standards, and optimizing maintenance processes by fostering strong collaborations with internal departments like production and engineering, as well as external contractors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Scheduling and Outage Coordination:
    Ensure meticulous planning and scheduling of preventive (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) activities using Maximo, optimizing resources and minimizing production disruption.
  • Resource Allocation & Management:
    Prioritize work orders, manage resource availability, and sequence tasks using RIME and criticality to ensure effective execution.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    Track maintenance metrics, report findings to senior leadership, and use data-driven insights to identify improvement areas.
  • Outage Planning & Execution:
    Develop detailed outage plans, oversee activities, manage dig permits, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Emergency Response:
    Assist in the development of emergency response plans for unplanned outages.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Lead weekly outage meetings, communicate updates, and serve as the central point during outages.
  • Communication & Relationship Building:
    Foster strong professional relationships and effective communication across all levels, internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Degree or formal training in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 10 years in an industrial, manufacturing, or aerospace environment with a focus on outage management and maintenance scheduling.
  • Skills & Certifications:
    Proficiency in CMMS, especially Maximo, and familiarity with Jira. Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or OSHA 30-hour highly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Solid understanding of utility systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC) and ability to interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
