Description

With Limited supervision, this individual will perform ancillary tasks that allow radiologist to focus on their primary clinical functions. These tasks include handling outgoing communications (such as notification of clinicians for critical, urgent and unexpected findings) and incoming communications (such as walk in and phone call requests from referring physicians for preliminary findings and verbal consults). The individual will also monitor reading rooms and radiologist activities to include regulatory and policy compliance and service standards. By preparing and analyzing the critical metrics in the entire imaging process (exam request to final report), the individual will make data driven suggestions to improve the delivery of care.

Strong organization, decision making, problem solving, collaboration and communication skills.

Excellent skills in multitasking's , interpersonal relationships and verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates the ability to recognize problems and collaboratively develop and implement solutions. Demonstrates appropriate judgement in referring unresolved and recurrent issues or problems.

Ability to use Q-genda to determine the routing of incoming calls. Ability to take notes for all meetings.

Ability to update Call Center Handbook Process 25 or more Life Image Nominations within the 8hour shift.

Incumbents are responsible for a full complement of Radiology front end processes including Reception, Image Library, Reception duties include the registration/arrival of patients; obtain clinical information pertinent to the scheduled exams; collect cash/insurance and authorization information.

Digital Librarian duties include digitization of hardcopy images; create hardcopy and/or CDs of images; and retrieve comparison studies.

Monitor the Medicals worklist and identify studies with and without images for dictation. Ability to transfer images electronically to physician's hospitals and patients.

Monitor the day-to-day electronic request for Images uploads to PACS. Ability to process LILA's nominations into PACS (limit 30), Send out one time use credentials in observance with the UCLA Policies.

Incumbent should demonstrate maximum flexibility and multitasking capabilities while working with staff as a team.

Duties also include rotating to Westwood and Santa Monica assist the Admin Officer when needed.

Qualifications

* Computer Literacy: Proficiency with computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and radiology-specific software (like PACS), is crucial.

* Organization and Time Management: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines is vital in a fast-paced environment.

* Customer Service: A positive and professional demeanor is important for interacting with patients and colleagues.

* Medical Terminology: Knowledge of basic medical terminology, especially related to radiology, is often preferred.
