Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Division is hiring an innovative, forward-thinking Crane and Elevator Supervisor at our Wauna Paper Mill in Clatskanie, Oregon! As the Crane and Elevator Supervisor you will lead and oversee the Cranes and Elevators maintenance team to ensure reliable and safe operations. You will collaborate closely with the Electrical Superintendent, operations, engineering, and other departments to develop and implement maintenance strategies that optimize equipment performance and uptime.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership, technical support, and direction to the Crane and Elevator maintenance department, overseeing mill-wide repair and preventive maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in manufacturing operations.
  • Coach and mentor Crane and Elevator technicians to ensure clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and expectations, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with plant objectives for safety, environmental, quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and prioritizing of maintenance activities, including daily work and outages, ensuring materials and resources are available for effective and efficient task execution.
  • Drive continuous reliability improvements by applying Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and other reliability principles to develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Electrical Safe Work Practices, safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Manage communication of results, action plans, and progress updates to stakeholders, and effectively address and resolve employee issues or concerns.
  • Provide detailed crane and elevator job planning and manage contracted services as needed, supporting capital projects and system upgrades by offering technical expertise and coordination.
  • Serve as backup support for mechanical and E&I supervision roles and provide Maintenance Duty on-call coverage as required.
  • Utilize the computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, track, and report maintenance activities and outcomes, ensuring accurate data and continuous improvement in maintenance processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Supervisory experience managing direct reports.
  • Hands-on electrical maintenance and/or mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, military, or industrial settings.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Pulp & Paper Experience.
  • Electrical Journeyman license.
  • Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Supervisory experience in a Union environment.
