Asset & Wealth Management - Cohoes - Associate, Client Services - Operations - 8237417

Job Duties: Associate, Client Services - Operations with Goldman Sachs Wealth Services, L.P. in Cohoes, New York. Perform review of grant recommendations submitted by clients requesting to make payment to a charitable entity. Communicate with charities to obtain payment instructions to process outgoing payments. Review the nature of the request from the client and perform research into charities to confirm their eligibility to receive grants. Perform international charity due diligence, including confirming the US equivalency of an international organization, and corresponding with the organization to obtain payment instructions. Collaborate with internal compliance team to assess and review more complex grant recommendations to ensure adherence to processing standards. Oversee client service inquiries and requests on grant status and progress. Open accounts, respond to client service inquiries, and review correspondence to charities and clients with regards to Donor Advised Funds.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include three (3) years of experience with: performing U.S. charity due diligence by researching charity registration and classification by the IRS and other U.S. regulatory bodies; performing international charity due diligence by working with client and internal teams on selecting the best vendor, such as NGO Source, CAF America, or Paragon Philanthropy, to help facilitate the international gift giving process; utilizing electronic payment processes and mechanisms, such as Early Warning System, to authenticate payment instructions; public and vendor-based sources of information, such as GuideStar (Candid), Charity Navigator, or Ren Databases, on charities and their eligibility to receive grants; and client service and effective communications, both written and verbal, with ultra-high net worth clients.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this Cohoes, New York-based position is $70,700 - $84,400.
