About The Role:

As a Construction Materials Project Manager, you'll play a critical role in overseeing and managing materials testing and special inspection projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance with industry standards.



  • Lead and manage Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections projects of varying scales, overseeing every phase, including budget allocations, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Support field activities to deliver client and project needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of professionals and field-based staff in client development and project management, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a local client base and professional network capable of generating sufficient revenue to meet financial objectives.
  • Support local business development and marketing efforts to expand market presence and opportunities.
  • Generate and review field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals in alignment with project plans, International Building Code (IBC) requirements, and client requests for proposals.



About You:



  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or a similar Engineering field
  • You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection
  • You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
  • You have a strong working knowledge of applicable ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, and IBC Special Inspections
  • You have effective verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail. You should be able to develop and facilitate accurate technical materials
  • Current ICC, ACI, and DOT certifications are a plus
