Job Summary:

The IT Sr. Project Manager, IT Systems role in the Masimo Information Technology (IT) department is essential to the success of projects in our department. This role will leverage Project Manager, Scrum Master, and IT system experience with knowledge of Agile, ITIL, and ITSM and related tools to help guide the IT team to deliver IT system and service projects at Masimo.

Reporting Relationships:

This job reports to: Sr. Manager, Programs in Enterprise Technology PMO. Reporting directly (or indirectly) to this position are the following job titles: N/A.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Project Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans and manage project execution to ensure timely delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and progress.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Agile Coaching: Educate and coach team members on Agile principles and practices, promoting continuous improvement and self-organization.
  • Scrum Facilitation: Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the Product Owner: Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring clarity and prioritization of user stories.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress and productivity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on team progress and performance metrics. Track project lessons learned and share those lessons with team members.
  • Change Management: Manage and coach the change process and approve releases to Production environments.
  • Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Help to ensure that all development activity is aligned with both SOX and FDA procedures.
  • Strong Organization: Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Relationship Management: Assist the Sr. Manager with vendor management, contract negotiation and communications with those vendors


Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Five or more years of project management and Scrum Master roles within an Agile environment.
  • 3-5 years in a project management role with IT Systems, Network, Security, and/or Service Desk projects.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM principles
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management and Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence or similar.
  • Experience operating within a regulated environment, specifically SOX and FDA.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • ITIL certification
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated IT project management experience, preferably in the healthcare field.


Education:

Bachelor of Computer Sciences (or equivalent years of experience) required. An MBA or advanced degree is desirable.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
