OVERVIEW:

The post-closing document specialist is responsible for promptly and accurately capturing fully executed loan documents and trailing documents to ensure timely delivery to our investors and the Bank. S/he ensures all closing transactions and applicable documents are placed on record. Must possess the ability to problem solve issues or questions both verbally and in writing to ensure timely receipt of necessary documentation. Essential to develop cooperative relationships with attorneys' offices and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • S/he will perform Post Closing Functions, records management, and perform day to day operational related activities to include:

    • Maintain working knowledge of investor requirements
    • Perform post close review of mortgage recorded documents to ensure all necessary documents have been received and are properly executed.

  • Logging in and scanning of executed closing packages into Encompass, with a review of the accuracy and completeness of documents and recording fees assessed.
  • Works closely with closing agents on exception conditions for trailing documents as noted on Investor Tracking Reports.
  • Trailing document management to include retrieval of daily mail, logging the receipt of recorded mortgage and final title policy. Scanning of trailing documents to the Encompass loan file. Shipping/uploading final documents to investors and following up with attorneys on any missing trailing documents.
  • Helps with special projects as needed.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



  • Individual who is highly motivated, organized and detail oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of loan process flow from origination to loan sale.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Must be able to work independently and research problems/questions as required.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage banking.
  • Technologically savvy with working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and Encompass desirable.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
