Job Description
ECU School of Art and Design is currently seeking several Gray Gallery Assistants. We are a small team, interested in creating a hands-on experience for students.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Exhibition preparation and documentation
  • Archiving Gray Gallery exhibition materials and the permanent collection
  • Office organization
  • Database entry for inventory
  • Basic art-handling (i.e. art storage, protection and organization)
  • Monitoring the gallery and helping direct guests as they view exhibitions


This is a flexible position. Students will work two to three days a week during gallery hours of operation. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional after 5 pm and weekend hours are possible.

Schedules are to be determined by student employees and the gallery staff.

Hourly rate is $10.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Candidates must be organized, able to work independently, able to lift up to 40 pounds, and communicate professionally.
