Executive Service GENERAL COUNSEL Administrative Office of the Courts Tennessee Supreme Court Nashville, TN The salary range for this role is $191,250.00 to $211,500.00 Starting compensation will be commensurate with the selected candidates qualifications, experience, and demonstrated ability to meet the responsibilities of the position. Who we are and what we do: The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is seeking a qualified person for the position of General Counsel. This position will report to the Director. General Counsel performs administrative legal work across all areas of the AOC and communicates effectively and respectfully. He or she is well-versed and confident in his or her ability to provide sound advice that furthers the mission of the AOC. General Counsel is experienced in both civil and criminal law. Minimum Qualifications: Must be a licensed Tennessee attorney in good standing. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a licensed practicing attorney is required, including trial litigation and/or appellate practice experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the Tennessee court system and court structure is required. Management experience is essential.
