National Grid is hiring a Group Learning, Process and Performing Manager. This hybrid position can sit in either our Millbury, MA, Liverpool, MA, Schenectady, NY, Queens, NY or Mellville, NY locations.

Job Purpose

National Grid's Group Learning function is responsible for developing the curriculum and skills-based learning for all National Grid colleagues and ensuring a consistent, cohesive learning experience throughout their career. This role reports to our Head of Design, Innovation & Performance and is responsible for:

  • Establishing Learning business partnerships with Group functions
  • Group Learning Management Systems administration
  • Managed Service Provider oversight and compliance
  • Group Technical Training Internal performance metrics & analytics
  • Group Technical Training Company and external performance metrics & analytics
Key Accountabilities
  • Liaison with Group Functions as a Learning Business Partner to address their Business and Technical Training needs and assignments
  • Defining the reporting standards for the Technical Training organisation and work with the regional delivery heads to ensure compliance to these standards
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly routines are in place to consolidate budget and forecast information for Group Training
  • Lead the engagement with our Financial Business Partner for annual budget reporting and forecasting requirements, working with the regional delivery teams to ensure compliance with this process.
  • Produce the performance and financial metrics for Group Technical Training, including value tracking.
  • Providing analytical insights to drive future performance
  • Report and inform the Group Technical Training leadership team on overall effectiveness, success, as well as cost optimisation recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Group Training, Financial Business Partner and Group function stakeholders.
  • Manage the delivery of all Group reporting requirements, including external annual reporting, compliance, value tracking and exec reporting
  • Work in close partnership with Regional Delivery leads to support additional data gathering and reporting requirements unique to Group training, such as training facility usage levels, analysis of cost-per-student-hour reporting, and other metrics related to training, equipment, facilities, and budgets.
  • Monitor the Group level Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for the Managed Service Provider
  • Administer company wide Learning Management Systems
  • Oversee the communication process for the Group Technical Training organization including content development, scheduling, and dissemination.
  • Manage the Technical Training Grid:Home to ensure that the content is relevant and current and provides value to the clients.
Qualifications
  • You are a strong problem solver who takes initiative to work through ambiguity
  • Ability to present complex business and financial matters effectively; financial management background preferred but not required
  • Experience in Learning Management systems, preferably SuccessFactors
  • Comfortable working autonomously when clear direction is provided
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with basic understanding of emotional intelligence
  • Experience in supporting complex projects with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Can influence and negotiate key points effectively to resolve conflicts
  • Experience in project management and implementing change
  • Data analytics experience in Excel, Power BI or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or other suitable qualifications/experience.
  • Valid driving license.

Salary:

Downstate NY $145,000 - $171,000 a year

Upstate NY $121,000 - $142,000 a year

New England MA $136,000 - $160,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
