About the Role

The Global Internal Mobility & Changes Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end cross boarding process for employees transitioning to new roles within National Grid, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

This includes overseeing and executing all tasks related to internal moves, from supporting the employee and hiring manager, through to coordinating tasks for all stakeholders.

The role also involves managing the transition plan between the current and new manager, ensuring documentation is completed and visas are still valid where applicable. The role also provides continuous support and oversight on 'mover' activities from Day 1 to Day 30 in the new role. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate outbound global mobility moves for internal employees taking on global assignments, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and smooth transitions.

What You'll Do
  • End-to-End Cross boarding Management
  • Oversee and manage all tasks related to internal mobility, including pre-move coordination between managers, HCM administration, and paperwork returns, ensuring a smooth transition for internal movers between roles.
  • Stakeholder Coordination and Communication
  • Facilitate clear communication between internal movers, current and hiring managers, and relevant cross-functional teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and involved in the transition process.
  • Global Mobility and International Assignments
  • Coordinate global mobility moves for internal employees taking on global assignments, collaborating with relevant teams, managers and vendors to ensure seamless relocation and transition into the new location.
  • Documentation and Compliance Management
    Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including checking visa validity to new role (for those on a visa) and ensuring compliance with legal regulations for employees moving internationally.
  • Cross boarding Day 1-30 Support
  • Provide comprehensive support to internal movers from Day 1 to Day 30, addressing any challenges or concerns and ensuring a smooth integration into the new role, while overseeing the local induction plan developed by the hiring manager.
  • Issue Resolution and Offer Withdrawal Management Proactively manage any issues related to the cross boarding process, such as offer withdrawals, delayed transitions, or other disruptions, ensuring that all parties are promptly notified, and the situation is handled professionally.
  • Perform any activities not listed above as assigned by line manager
What You'll Need
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field, or relevant Human Resources certification; Or Evidence of experience in HR, ideally in an HR Operations environment with a focus on employee lifecycle management - essential.
  • Role can be based in UK or US but will develop to support customers globally over time. Occasional travel to UK/US may be required for training/team/project activities on an exceptional basis.

Annual Salary

$69,000-$81,000
