Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) helps harmonize the Company's people strategy with its business strategy. The HRBP provides organizational-level HR leadership, direction, strategic management, and operational execution in alignment with business needs. The HRBP serves as a highly trusted advisor to business leaders by offering insight and advice on people-related issues such as talent management, employee relations, coaching and development, conflict management, organizational development, and training. The HRBP plays an essential role in establishing and driving HR initiatives within designated Company functions.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ. The Director will report to the Vice President, Human Resources.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the Company's leadership to understand core capabilities needed to drive business results and translate strategy into actionable selection, performance management, and developmental programs
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop talent selection methodology and tools to support the organizational build across all functions
  • Provide ongoing support to business leaders by serving as a partner in both business and people-related matters
  • Develop and maintain key people metrics; partner with business leaders to review and identify strengths and areas of opportunity on a regular cadence; proactively plan around areas of opportunity and monitor impact on-going
  • Utilize high level of consulting skills to influence, coach, and provide feedback to employees at all levels
  • Partner with business leadership to design and build high performing teams; includes assessing capability and skill gaps, job scoping and leveling, compensation recommendations, support of interviewing and selection, and integration of key leaders
  • Partner with functional leaders to build and maintain a culture that is consistent with Company's values, drive performance, and attract and retain top talent
  • Work with functional leaders to design and implement leadership and management development training programs and succession planning
  • Offer thought leadership on navigating organizational issues and serve as a trusted advisor throughout designated Company functions
  • Ensure the Company's workforce has the right size, shape, cost, and agility for the future through strategic workforce planning
  • Optimize organizational design to increase productivity and improve performance of the business
  • Partner with management to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, and decrease unwanted turnover
  • Help build and maintain strong organizational morale, as well as continuously improve the employee experience
  • In partnership with HR Operations, develop and implement programs for improvement of the Company's HR practices, policies, and procedures
  • Support HR initiatives and projects

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HRBP experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including focuses on organizational effectiveness, change management, learning and development, and talent management
  • Experience in the development and execution of HR initiatives is required
  • Experience in the design and implementation of compensation systems that drive performance highly beneficial
  • Strong track record building and supporting an early stage Commercial organization through growth and scale

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.

General Salary Range: $210,000 to $225,000
