Training Coordinator - Finance

SUMMARY

Mortenson's Core Finance Team is looking for a Training Coordinator who will be responsible for providing high quality training and support to our team members. The position will focus on training and development for the Core Finance team's internal initiatives as well as those initiatives that impact our Operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Build and conduct comprehensive training sessions for both the Operations and Core Finance teams. Training will be centered around payroll activities including timecard reporting as well as supplier invoice coding and approval.
  • Ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and effectively communicated to the relevant teams.
  • Maintain and update Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for the Core Finance team. Ensure that these guides are accurate, current, and easily accessible to team members. Regularly review and revise documentation to reflect any changes in processes or systems.
  • Generate and analyze metric reports to provide insights that can help improve team performance and efficiency. Interpret data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization. Present findings in a clear and actionable manner to relevant stakeholders.
  • Update and manage the Core Finance intranet sites to ensure that all information is current, relevant, and easily accessible to team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and disseminate important updates and resources.
  • Conduct training sessions on new features and enhancements within our software tools.
  • Effectively communicate changes to team members and ensure they are well-prepared to utilize new tools and processes.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up training as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills. Work closely with various teams to understand their needs and provide tailored training and support.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum three years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel; Power BI experience preferred
  • Learning Management System experience preferred
  • Experience analyzing data, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience coordinating meetings or training events Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
  • Strong technical aptitude. Ability to come up to speed quickly with various software applications/tools.
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible, enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines with high quality work
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The base pay range for this role is $26.00 - $35.10 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
