Coordinate all the responsibilities pertaining to the paper mill.


Principle Accountabilities:



  • Direct the workforce
  • Create & support the proper safety environment
  • Coordinate all operational areas as appropriate
  • Know and understand the Union/Management Agreement
  • Create & support the proper environment for the maximization of production & quality
  • Coordinate the scheduling of the crews
  • Coordinate appropriate training for the respective employees
  • Write work orders & conduct follow-up reviews of the work orders
  • Know & understand the proper operation of all the equipment in the area
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Engineer - Chemical or Paper Science


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
  • Minimum 5 years paper industry experience with a supervisory background and a general knowledge of paper operations.


The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Ability to understand mechanical equipment & systems
  • Possess both oral & written communication abilities.
  • Work well under pressure and within time constraints as well as possess the ability to multi-task and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving
