POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and day to day direction to the Specialist, Accounts Payable team in all areas of disbursements, customer service, vendor management, expense management, company card administration, and invoicing. This person performs a variety of basic to advanced accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in Accounts Payable, recommends system and procedural process improvements, and tests and implements new system enhancements, versions, and workflow processes on an on-going basis. The ideal candidate will be able to understand, interpret, and effectively communicate information/data, identify root cause of Accounts Payable inefficiencies and work toward resolution/education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

General Responsibilities
  • Manage Payment system and processes - Microsoft Dynamics 365 and identify issues and work with appropriate parties to resolve
  • Supervise and direct the activities of the Specialist, Accounts Payable Staff
  • Support the 1099 reporting process
  • Make recommendations for and implements process improvements
  • Identify risks or control gaps and work appropriate parties to resolve
  • Partner with resorts to ensure operations are running smoothly
  • Supervise AP staff, provide feedback and deliver performance reviews
  • Train employees
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 7 years of AP experience in a high-volume environment including: full cycle procure to pay, expense management, corporate credit card, customer service and disbursements, resolving discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and interacting with vendors.
  • At least 3 years of Supervisory experience preferable
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of commonly used accounts payable concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Familiarity with month-end close process
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate processes, identify improvements and implement changes
  • D365 experience desirable
  • Professional/lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a broad range of people.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant work experience required

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base salary range: $76,000- $85,000 per year.
