The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Logistics Supervisor to our growing Supply Chain Operations in Seattle, WA.

In this role, you will manage logistical support to field technicians to ensure the right parts, tools, equipment, and vehicles are available to perform every job as efficiently as possible.

Some additional responsibilities include:

Management:

  • Supervises Logistics team in Seattle.
  • Oversee the coordinates with fab shop for delivery of fabrications and tooling to job sites.
  • Primary contact for Western Washington projects and shop leads.

Project Management/Support:

  • Support the control of warehouse and field-related budgets by managing logistics dispatching and coordination.
  • Coordinate the daily use, inspection, and condition of company-owned and rented equipment.
  • Oversee routine equipment repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with the field/shop leads, project teams, and vendors to ensure materials and tools are available to meet project timelines.
  • Ensure logistics and material return processes are followed and support team productivity.
  • Track and assist in managing owned assets
  • Participate in the HazMat handling process on the corporate campus in alignment with safety protocols.
  • Support compliance with DOT regulations, including recordkeeping and documentation updates.
  • Assist in the annual inventory process, including data collection, physical counts, and reconciliation.

People Management:

  • Selects, trains, coaches and supervises staff.
  • Efficiently utilizes the assigned manpower in reaching objectives and goals. Includes team building, leading, directing, and training staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Standard MS program knowledge and basic computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and tools.
  • Basic Knowledge of safety regulations related to material handling and transportation.

The pay range for this position is $55,800-$91,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
