The Director, Global Channel Integration Lead in the Global Scientific Communications organization will within their assigned Therapeutic Area (Specialty Care, Oncology, Vaccines, Gen Med) to build medical-specific channel strategies that align with integrated medical communication plan deliverables, addressing digital implementation needs.

This role involves ensuring that GSK's science and data are effectively communicated to the right audiences through the most relevant channels in a timely manner to address medical unmet needs. This role will also partner with Medical Digital & Tech to drive innovation across the spectrum of scientific communication activities by leveraging AI-driven strategies, processes, tools, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute channel-specific content strategies within assigned therapeutic area (Specialty Care, Oncology, Vaccines, Gen Med) to ensure alignment with audience needs and digital platforms.

  • Identifies and incorporates new tools, technologies, and systems for integrated medical communication plans using a structured approach, supporting implementation needs with digital and tech

  • Identify and integrate innovative tools, technologies and systems to enhance content effectiveness across relevant internal and external channels for key priority GSK assets including field medical, Congresses, and third party digital channels.

  • Build and deliver omnichannel plans and engagements that drive continuous improvement through monitoring the performance and impact of initiatives grounded in key performance indicators.

  • Ensure new content enables personalized medical communications and impactful customer experiences globally and locally, partnering with channel analytics to understand ways to refine current scientific communications strategies

  • Supports global medical teams with Digital Opinion Leader strategy, social media planning, and external engagement strategies for omnichannel plans

  • Advise on emerging generative AI capabilities, building from GSK's generative AI strategies, to identify opportunities to enhance scientific communications approaches

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Master's degree in science, medicine, or pharmacy.

  • 7 or more years of related innovation and scientific communication medical affairs work experience.

  • Experience in digital platforms and key therapy areas for GSK as well as emerging trends in scientific communications

  • Experience in executing digital opinion lead and social media-focused plans

  • Technical experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and Team sites.

  • Experience in the strategic planning of new asset launches.

  • Experience with medical and legal review requirements for medical content.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Postgraduate degree (PhD or PharmD).

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across Medical Commercial and Digital and drive Agency partnerships for omnichannel and digital activities

  • Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and present complex data to a broad range of audiences.

  • Effective time management, ability to clearly identify priorities, and manage multiple tasks.

  • Local, regional, or global medical or R&D experience.

  • Scientific communication strategies for large global markets in US, UK, EU, China and Japan

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $165,000 to $275,000 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
