Staffmark is seeking a Finishing Technician in Cleveland, TN, to join a respected manufacturing leader known for producing premium pulley and idler components for industrial systems worldwide. Hours & Pay

1st Shift: $18.50/hour

2nd Shift: $20.50/hour (includes $2.00 shift differential)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st and 2nd shifts available

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (90 days to hire-on potential)

What You'll Do Each Day

As a Finishing Technician, your work ensures products meet exacting standards before they head out the door. Expect to work with metal, machinery, and tools daily in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Daily Responsibilities:



  • Grind, sand, and inspect metal components for quality and accuracy
  • Use equipment such as drill presses, band saws, grinders, and hand tools
  • Read and follow detailed work orders and tape measurements
  • Operate and maintain various hand and power tools for mechanical assembly
  • Fabricate small components to precise specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in your work area
  • Use basic computer skills to record tasks and track progress
  • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Wear required PPE including steel-toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection
  • Work near machinery and in high-heat environments
  • Practice safe work habits and support a safety-driven culture

Qualifications We're Looking For:



  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting
  • Background in grinding, sanding, and quality control
  • Ability to read measuring tools and interpret work instructions
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly and testing
  • Consistent attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working around machinery, heat, and airborne particles
