Project Manager IV (Scheduler) The Project Manager IV (Scheduler) provides Waterfall and Agile project control and scheduling for applicable projects/acquisitions. Responsibilities and Daily Tasks
- Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure alignment with program objectives, deliverables, and contractual obligations.
- Analyze applicable projects/acquisitions, IMSs and dependencies - especially inter-project dependencies
- Analyze delay impacts and major schedule changes.
- Combine multiple WBSs with other schedules to form an overarching IMS.
- Coordinate, participate and facilitate planning meetings and backlog reviews with internal team members and external stakeholders
- Create and brief Program Managers (PMs) and Leadership on schedule status of applicable projects/acquisitions
- Develop executive-level schedule metrics, management reports and project dashboards
- Establish input/output rhythms and schedule update processes to ensure seamless coordination and timely decision making.
- Facilitate program/project meetings to discuss and review schedules with all stakeholders
- Interface and communicate with other internal team members and external stakeholders to gather inputs, provide status, etc.
- Meet regularly with assigned PMs to ensure schedule accuracy and resolve schedule issues
- Solve problems and provide recommendations for corrective actions to keep projects within scope and on time.
- Support long-term roadmap development, review, and revision cycles to enhance strategic planning efforts
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance or higher
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7 - 10 years of experience building, analyzing and managing schedules, on a daily basis, in MS Project.
- Able to work independently
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in schedule development and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- Advanced experience developing requested views and reports in MS Project.
- Advanced experience running a DCMA 14 point analysis using forProject Analyzer, SSI, Steelray or similar software
- Advanced experience setting up schedule dependencies and viewing critical and driving paths.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced experience using Milestone Professional to create Gantt chart views, DataGraphs and Roadmaps from MS Project and Excel files
- Expert using MS Project 2019 and newer versions.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Experience using Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) tools
- Experience with Agile SAFe methodology, VersionOne, JIRA, O365 Office
- Experience with Baseline Change Control Process
- Familiar with tools such as MS Project Web App (PWA), Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for MS Project, and Monte Carlo Analysis tools.
- MS Project certification (e.g., Blue Belt, Masterclass, etc.)
