Container Shop Welder

Kieffer Sanitation, a proud member of the Waste Connections family, is seeking a full-time Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Rapid City, South Dakota. If you're a hands-on, self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with your hands, we want to hear from you!

• Hourly Pay: $20 - $30 (based on experience)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
• Hours: 40-50 hours/week

• Weld and repair trash containers, compactors, and metal components on trash trucks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Document parts usage and repair times accurately.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate repair needs clearly.
  

• Physically demanding role with frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of items over 50 lbs.
• Exposure to mechanical parts and outdoor elements-safety precautions are essential.
• Work may be performed indoors in a shop or outdoors in the yard.
• Occasional work in tight or awkward spaces using greasy or dirty tools.
  

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years welding/fabrication experience preferred.
