The Sr. Certification Lead and Psychometrican is responsible for certification design, exam development, and program management to produce the Snowflake industry professional certifications, used for the SnowPro Certification program. This hands-on, exam building role will work closely with technical experts and other certification team members to design, develop, and deliver certifications that meet industry standards.

The Snowflake Education Services team is fanatical about building and certifying technical champions worldwide. We constantly deliver innovative learning and enablement solutions to help individuals excel at their job using the Snowflake data platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and facilitate exam development workshops with subject matter experts, including: Program design, job task analyses, item writing, item technical reviews, and standard setting

  • Conduct Psychometric Analyses (e.g., IRT, Classical Test Theory, DIF, factor analysis, etc.) to ensure the reliability, validity, and fairness of Snowflake assessments

  • Design and execute validation studies (e.g., criterion-related, construct, content) to demonstrate the effectiveness and utility of the Snowflake assessment solutions

  • Monitor exam performance data, identify trends, and recommend adjustments to exam content or scoring as needed

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest psychometric research and industry trends, exploring and implementing innovative approaches to assessment design and validation.

  • Review and revise exam questions for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and tone, ensuring readability, and alignment with Snowflake editorial and style guidelines and psychometric best practices

  • Develop high-quality marketing materials, including program articles, reports, and blog posts to support program objectives

  • Drive enhancements and operationalization of exam development processes and systems, including managing workflows and assignments, while maintaining exam security

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment to ensure that Snowflake's Certifications are up-to-date with Snowflake platform releases

  • Use project management tools and skills to manage medium-to large-scale exam development projects that result in on-time highest-quality deliverables

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Psychometrics, Educational Measurement, Statistics or related field

  • 6+ years of experience working in psychometric assessment development

  • 3+ years of experience working with customers in a certification development or content development role

  • Advanced proficiency in statistical software packages and/or Psychometric analysis software (e.g., Python for data analysis, Winsteps, R, Xcalibre, etc.)

  • A demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

  • Understanding of the benefits and practices associated with remote and asynchronous work

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $132,000 - $184,700.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
