The Assembly Supervisor
will follow the direction of the Assembly Manager to effectively lead the
production team to meet Safety, Quality and Production goals. They will work
cross-functionally and maintain good working relationships with peers,
subordinates, and other departments.

Key Tasks
Receives
predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of
control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using
established guidelines, procedures and policies.
Interacts
daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction
normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
Provides
immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks,
checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. A portion
of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit
or sub-unit. Generally, supervises semi-skilled employees (e.g.,
assemblers, operators, clerical).
Works
on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures
in analysing situations or data from which answers can be readily
obtained. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit. Requires full
knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.
Erroneous
decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.
Effectively
lead and manage daily manufacturing of assigned department.
Maintain
production schedules, ensure daily and weekly production and quality
levels are met, and ensure safe work practices are being followed.
Ensure
effective employee relations; Maintain a positive work environment through
professional, courteous, and respectful communication and behavior.
Effectively
manage employee performance by training, coaching and development. Resolve
employee issues through good conflict resolution techniques.
Assist
in making employment-related decisions.
Ensure
products meet or exceed customer requirements.

Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related technical field desired. Proven leadership experience may substitute for degree.
2+ years of manufacturing experience with at
least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position, preferably
manufacturing, durable medical equipment, or similar products
Strong desire to learn and/or improve supervision experience in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to positively lead and mentor employees to meet production, quality and safety goals.
Ability to positively and effectively communicate across all levels within the organization.
Proficiency in the English language (written and oral).
Basic math skills.
