  • Base Pay Range: $82,992 - $122,428 per year, based on experience

MU Health Care is looking for a driven and compassionate Nurse Supervisor to lead our Infusion Services team with clinical expertise and a heart for patient-centered care. This leader will oversee daily operations across the Ambulatory Infusion Unit at Keene Street Medical Center-ensuring seamless coordination, regulatory compliance, and exceptional care delivery. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Interview, select, train, evaluate, and counsel all staff in the Ambulatory Infusion Unit, Symptom Evaluation Clinic, and associated Blood Draw Lab.

Instruct and advise staff on changes in policies, procedures, or working standards. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that are consistent with University and MU Health Care policies and procedures.

Responsible for all aspects of daily infusion services operations and ensures care provision to infusion patients.

Assure that all departmental certifications, licensures, and accreditations are maintained continually.

Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care. Collaborate with medical providers, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementing, and delivering educational curricula. Coordinate in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff.

Develop, delegate, and monitor departmental goals, objectives, and programs and ensure timely completion. Develop and implement quality assurance programs for the department.

Collaborate with other healthcare providers such as physicians, pharmacists, and laboratory staff, to ensure coordination of care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, ensuring clear and timely communication of treatment plans and updates.

Coordinate with the Inpatient Oncology unit to schedule patient treatments.

Coordinate with the BMTCTP Coordinator in the scheduling and facilitation of patient care.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice related to infusion therapy, including bone marrow transplant therapy.

Confer with physicians and other department managers to resolve operational problems and promote communications and guest relations with patients and the public.

Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care.

Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes.

May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.

One (1) year of nursing experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Supervisory experience.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.

This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have

contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
