The facilities department at the Prescott campus is seeking a Building Services Foreman. This position exercises overall responsibility for inspecting, planning, programming, and implementing of the general maintenance technicians, painting and maintenance of the campus and other assigned facilities. Responsible for management, work order follow up, quality control and participates in work order assignments for the Gen. Maintenance Technicians, Locksmith and Painter.

This is a multifunction position. While the primary focus is on preventive maintenance of all building services this position is frequently required to supervise tradesmen of other crafts and to direct, monitor, and approve the actions, performance, and/or products of contractors and vendors as they do work for the University.

Qualifications

High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math.

Required licenses, certificates, and/or security clearances:

  • Lift Certification (Forklift and Scissors Lift)
  • Aerial Certification
  • OSHA10 Certification

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • 5 years of experience in general building or facilities maintenance or in the building trades to perform the duties assigned to this position and skilled in proper and safe use of tools, materials and equipment common to the trade.
  • Principles of carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical work.
  • Principles of heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
  • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
