Actuarial Specialist - Post-Graduate Program

Summary

As a member of the Post-Graduate Program, you will work under the direction of a credentialed actuary and engage in meaningful work to further our strategic initiatives. Program participants will utilize their skills to research problems, analyze data, and present their findings. The use of sound actuarial principles, completion of projects in a timely manner, and efficient use of resources and appropriate communication are expected.

Along with engaging work, you will have multiple development opportunities. These include connecting with actuaries at all levels across the department, on-the-job training, study hours, and engaging with the multiple Employee Resource Groups. Northwestern Mutual wants you to make the most of your experience to jump-start your actuarial career.

Bring your best! What this role needs:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related major

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, and evidence of a strong work ethic

  • Successful completion of an SOA exam

  • A working knowledge of Excel or similar office tools

  • The Actuarial Specialist Post-Graduate Program runs for approximately eight months (October - May). There is potential to convert to full-time employee status pending work performance and business need.

Pay Range - Start:

$56,140.00

Pay Range - End:

$104,260.00

Geographic Specific Pay Structure:

175 - Structure 110 (Exempt): 61,740.00 USD - 114,660.00 USD 175 - Structure 115 (Exempt): 64,540.00 USD - 119,860.00 USD
