The Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is recruiting a general Urologist to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary clinical team. Our urologic service is staffed by full-time faculty, as well as advance practice providers, and provides urologic care for patients originating throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond. The Colorado Division of Urology is a premier clinical, educational and investigative program offering outstanding opportunities for professional growth and development. This is a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services, supervise advanced practice providers and nurses in providing independent clinical care for patients and direct medical students and urology residents in all aspects of clinical urology. This position is dedicated solely to participation in the Urology citywide call pool, with responsibility for an equal share of weekend and overnight call coverage at affiliate hospitals, including UCH, DHHA, and VAMC. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the urology citywide call pool, taking an equal share of weekend and overnight call at affiliate hospitals including, UCH, DHHA, and VAMC
- Provide independent clinical services
- Supervise advanced practice providers and nurses in providing independent clinical care for patients and direct medical students and urology residents in all aspects of clinical urology

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO and surrounding areas.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Must be currently employed by VA, Denver Health, or University of Colorado
- Medical Degree from an accredited school of medicine
- Board certified or board eligible in urology
- Eligible to obtain a license to practice as a physician in the state of Colorado
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in general urology
- Demonstrated proficiency in urology clinical and educational efforts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly as an integral member of a team

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Call pool shifts are compensated at a daily rate, with the number of shifts varying. Weeknight call (Monday-Friday) - $691.15 Weekend call - $893.69 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
