IFF in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Process Technician - RECOVERY to join our Downstream Team! Located at the Genencor Technology Center in the Stanford Research Park, IFF is a leader in the industrial biotechnology sector, developing innovative enzymes and bioproducts to improve performance and reduce environmental impact across cleaning, textiles, animal nutrition, grain processing, and chemical industries. Where You'll Make a Difference Operate various downstream unit operations and heavy machinery in small-scale and pilot plant recovery labs Support R&D project development with limited supervision during swing shift Maintain accurate documentation of lab activities and processes Provide lab support during weekend shifts and overtime when required Safely lift up to 50 pounds and frequently scale staircases Wear appropriate PPE including steel-toed boots, lab coat, gloves, and safety glasses Perform repetitive motions such as bending, lifting, squatting, and sitting Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and scientists to meet shared goals What Makes You the Right Fit Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field Minimum of 2 years of hands-on lab experience Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently Proven leadership in driving change and improving work efficiency Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Ability to prioritize and troubleshoot under pressure Adaptability to learn new systems and adjust to changing environments How Would You Stand Out? The compensation offered will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
