How you will make history here... Reporting to the Sr. Quality Assurance, Site Manager, the Quality Systems Manager is responsible for development, maintenance and continuous improvement of all site Food Safety and Quality systems. The Quality Systems Manager will be a subject matter expert on regulatory, Campbell Soup Company and 3rd party certification requirements and will ensure compliance to these programs by partnering with site operations, sanitation, maintenance, and distribution team members. Position will be responsible for strategic and daily support of food safety compliance initiatives related to supply base, ingredients, packaging materials, quality policies, scorecard metrics and training programs. The Quality Systems Manager will serve as a site designated PCQI and SQF Practitioner and will coordinate auditing, verification, validation, and routine monitoring activities related to maintaining these critical systems. The role will also play a key part in identifying and executing quality improvement initiatives, supporting cross-functional projects that drive compliance, efficiency, and product excellence. - Function as lead PCQI, responsible for conducting risk assessments and organizing program assessments for continuous improvement of food safety and quality systems.
- Maintain and update records related to facility food safety and quality control plans.
- Lead site Food Safety/HACCP team and update plant leadership team regularly on food safety and quality plan performance metrics.
- Follow up on all preventive control deviations and food safety monitoring failures, document risk assessments related to food safety related incidents.
- Ensure validation activities related to preventive controls and quality control points are completed per schedule.
- Support and lead cross-functional quality improvement projects using root cause analysis, data trends, and performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and Operations teams to implement process improvements that align with quality and food safety objectives.
- Manage Quality Documentation Control program, create new documents, revise existing documents, and oversee the effective distribution of site policies, procedures, work instructions, training, and operational documentation.
- Regularly perform program gap assessments against regulatory and Campbell Soup Company standards and develop corrective action plans to improve compliance.
- Responsible for developing and owning the plant's internal quality system auditing program, including SQF code and GMP inspections. Develop audit schedules, lead team calibration, create tools and reports, and ensure timely completion of corrective actions and audit closures.
- Lead plant external quality system and regulatory visits, including FDA, ODA, SQF and Kosher. Organize external certifications if required for new projects.
- Conduct additional non-formal routine facility inspections to verify facility compliance with plant Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety program requirements. Coach employees daily on GMP and "food safe" behaviors in the production environment.
- Provide expert support for the site Environmental Monitoring Program, working with the sanitation team on any associated corrective actions and prevention plans.
- Champion plant traceability program for ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products. Work with QA Business Unit representatives (Cookies/Crackers) to complete trace exercises and rate program effectiveness.
- Maintain site food defense plan and meet regularly with cross functional food defense team members
- Stay up to date on food safety legislation and industry news, notify plant leadership team on any relevant changes and updates
- Provide direction to direct reports, develop team members in leadership and quality management skills. Perform informal and formal performance evaluations.
- Evaluate new products, equipment installations and production lines for food safety risks and update relevant documentation; assist with commissioning activities and release prior to production of first product.
- Build and develop the team by providing mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities-supporting team members in strengthening their technical capabilities and exploring future leadership pathways aligned with their individual goals.
- Provide cross-functional support to peer departments (e.g., Sanitation or Commercialization) during periods of absence, increased workload, or special projects to ensure continuity of quality and food safety expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Quality Assurance Department in the absence of the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager. Be available to support additional objectives, as assigned by the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager.

- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 + years' experience Quality Leadership

- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., food science, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline involving investigative or analytical methodologies)
- 4+ years food industry experience with demonstrated achievement in Food Safety and Quality leadership
- HACCP Certification preferred
- Preventive Controls for Human Foods (PCQI) certification preferred
- SQF Practitioner certification preferred
- Strong working knowledge and application of food safety principles (ex. Regulatory, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, traceability, critical control processes, microbiology etc.)
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality systems platforms such as SAP, EQMS, or other ERP/document control systems.
- Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Familiar with continuous improvement tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Model positive leadership and foster a quality-first culture through effective communication, coaching, and professional presence across all levels of the organization, promoting engagement and diversity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build cross-functional trust, and navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.

Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $104,100-$149,600
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
