POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Cafeteria Coordinator is responsible for the full operation of the company's Bistro, including food planning, preparation, service, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety standards. This is a hands-on position serving 50-100 meals per day, requiring excellent culinary, organizational, and interpersonal skills. This person supports the company's Wellness Program by serving wholesome, high-quality meals.
This role requires schedule flexibility, including early arrival and occasional weekend work, to ensure that all perishable items (such as salads, fruits, and proteins) are prepped fresh daily and that post-service cleaning and food safety tasks are fully completed before departure.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Operations & Planning
- Oversee daily operations of the Bistro cafeteria.
- Plan and publish weekly menus.
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies.
- Take inventory and manage food and supply orders.
- Lead all aspects of food prep and meal service.
- Manage Grab & Go inventory.
- Coordinate food production to align with employee meal periods.
Food Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Always maintain readiness for local health inspections and promptly correct any identified issues.
- Prepare perishable items (e.g., salads, fruits) fresh daily.
- Perform post-service cleaning, inventory review, and prep for the next day.
- Participate in layout reviews to identify workflow or safety improvements.
- Accurately complete and maintain daily food safety and sanitation logs, including temperature checks, cleaning checklists, and any records required for compliance with local health regulations.
Customer Service & Leadership
- Ensure a positive employee dining experience and courteous service.
- Respond to feedback and requests professionally.
- Demonstrate professional accountability and self-awareness when receiving feedback and maintain a positive attitude toward upholding food safety and service standards.
Administrative & Financial Responsibilities
- Maintain records of meals served and supply costs.
- Manage cafeteria budget and cost control.
- Operate and troubleshoot the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Keep the vendor and supplier contact information organized and updated to ensure smooth operational continuity when needed.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience managing a commercial kitchen and/or cafeteria
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary policies, procedures, and practices
- Culinary experience, food preparation, and menu planning
- Creativity in designing meals to suit varied palates
- Understanding of food ingredients and allergens
- Passion for clean and healthy eating, including organic foods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid food handling and preparation certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
