Ellumen is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support the LogiCole program - a cutting-edge modernization of the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system. LogiCole is a mission-critical initiative serving both the Defense Health Agency and the Department of Veterans Affairs, designed to unify and enhance medical logistics in support of patient care and national readiness.
As a Jr. Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining web-based logistics applications using modern technologies in a secure, federal environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary development team to enhance and maintain the LogiCole application.
- Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Support integration with federal electronic health records and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work with secure development environments and government-authorized tools and platforms.
- Contribute to the migration of legacy MEDLOG systems into a modern, unified platform.
- Support data-driven features using SQL, JSON, and RDBMS technologies.
- Ensure high-quality code using GitLab, Git, Tortoise Git, and Nexus for version control and deployment.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes using JIRA and Confluence.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in:
- Programming Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, SQL, JSON, VBA
- Frameworks/Tools: Angular, Node.js, HTML, CSS
- Databases: RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Development Tools: Git, GitLab, Tortoise Git, Nexus
- Operating Systems: Windows and Linux
- Project Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence
- Web Services & APIs: curl
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Federal government software engineering experience is strongly preferred.
