Base Compensation Range: $67,600 - $80,000
*In addition, you qualify for:
- Annual equity award of $10,000
- Commission target of $45,066

Job Summary
Mesa Labs is looking for an Account Manager, to join our sales team. This person will be part of a team of cross-product line sales representatives that strategically engage and recruit new Regional strategic partnerships and develop incremental revenue. We are currently looking for a sales professional with a technical background to work with our Direct and Channel Partners in the U.S South Central Region and APAC. The ideal candidates will live in the South-Central Region, particularly Texas, and have 5+ years sales experience selling precision instrument solutions - preferably with knowledge or experience in med device/pharma sterilization processes, thermal process validation, gas flow measurement & calibration, or metrology. The role reports to the Global Sales Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Remotely sells Mesa Lab's Instruments Portfolio products and retains end user customers within all assigned customer accounts to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals.
- Actively travels to engage with direct customers and channel partners withing their territory to manage opportunities and business relationships.
- Identifies customer needs and effectively addresses them with Mesa Labs products and services.
- Generates interest and cultivates new sales opportunities through prospecting, leads management, referrals, and RFPs.
- Maintains and expands business with existing customers by developing strong service/business relationships with multiple buying influencers.
- Cultivates relationships and facilitates meetings between customers and Mesa Labs.
- Utilizes CRM and other standard Daily Management tools proficiently and diligently to drive priorities and manage by fact. Maintains CRM data continually.
- Identifies threats and opportunities using sales data and customer feedback
- Effectively manages sales funnel and provides accurate monthly forecasting.
- Complies with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
- Commits to continuous improvement in skills and capabilities, including selling skills, product and application knowledge, and commercial processes.
- Elevates customer perspective of Mesa Labs through consistent professionalism and timeliness and serving the needs of external and internal customers.
- Participates in Problem Solving, Kaizen, and strategy events as needed.
- Participates in Sales meetings, training, and other internal meetings as needed.
- Collaborates effectively with Mesa team members and assists in onboarding of new hires.
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and ethics.
- Maintains a positive and courteous demeanor with guests and employees.
- Able to work cross-functionally with service, customer service, finance, and marketing to develop solutions and solve customer problems.
Experience/Education
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in sales with medical device products is required.
- 5 years minimum experience as a sales leader with a demonstrated track record of above-plan performance in Pharma & Biotech Manufacturing, Medical device/Biomed Manufacturing, Metrology, Automotive or Aerospace industries is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of successful sales or experience with Channel Partners is preferred. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Experience selling or working with data loggers and gas flow calibration/measurement equipment and services is a plus.
- Demonstrated effective presentation and sales planning skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; demonstrates ability to deliver timely and useful multi-mode communications to both internal and external customers
Knowledge and Skillsets Required
- Experience collaborating cross-departmentally with Product Marketing, Services, Revenue, Legal, Product and Executive Leadership
- Ability to manage sales process and proven ability to meet set sales quotas and performance metrics
- Exceptional presentation and verbal communication skills, strong presence
- Proven track record of above-plan performance in Industrial, Technology, or capital equipment industries.
