This is a Full-Time Support Staff position at grade 9 with an annual salary range of $34,620 to $39,886. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable. Benefits:

Job Summary:
|
An employee in this classification performs grounds maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, parking lot and sidewalk maintenance. General supervision is received from the assigned manager.
|
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Must have and maintain a current State of Illinois Department of Agriculture Pesticide Operators Permit.
- Must have and maintain a current Chemical Applicator's License.
- Experience in chemical and pesticide application.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of lawnmowers, landscaping, parking lot, and snow removal equipment.

Essential Duties:
|
- Operate lawnmowers and various equipment used in landscaping, parking lot maintenance, and snow removal.
- Assist in planting, weeding and watering of landscape projects. Apply chemicals and pesticides, as needed, per regulations.
- Assist with tree trimming, clean up, and removal.
- Assist in the maintenance or repair of parking lots and sidewalks.
- Assist with furniture and equipment moves.

Other Duties:
|
- Assist with pick up/drop off of donations for various college departments.
- Post banners and set up barricades for special events on campus.
- Post signs notifying the students and staff of events on campus.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
