The Operations Manager - East is responsible for leading and supporting shop operations across Sunbelt-Solomon's eastern rental locations. This role ensures consistent execution of company standards, drives performance through coaching and mentoring, and supports strategic initiatives aligned with operational and business growth. Reporting directly to the Director of Rental Operations, this role is based out of Sharon, PA and requires regular travel to the other eastern shops. Primary Shop Locations:

Leadership & Team Development
- Provide hands-on leadership and support to Shop Managers across all assigned eastern sites.
- Coach and mentor shop teams to ensure high performance, accountability, and safety.
- Conduct bi-annual team member development reviews and support career pathing.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
- Foster a strong and unified company culture across locations.
Operational Execution
- Monitor and drive shop performance based on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
- Support Shop Managers in managing personnel, resolving issues, and maintaining staffing levels.
- Oversee timely facility and equipment maintenance within the region.
- Help manage material inventories and vendor relations to ensure supply chain reliability.
Strategic & Technical Initiatives
- Support the Director of Rental Operations in executing regional strategies aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
- Contribute to business technology upgrades and ensure adoption by shop teams.
- Assist in budget development and manage operational spending within assigned locations.
- 5+ years in operations management, preferably in rental equipment, industrial services, or manufacturing.
- ERP system experience (SAP) preferred
- Proven leadership experience with multi-site or regional oversight.
- Strong ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in operational planning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Proficiency in budget management and process improvement tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region (approx. 25%).
