Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, we are looking for a Part-time (less than 30 hours per week), Senior Project Engineer to join our transportation group, supporting hydraulic and hydrology planning, analysis and design for facilities including but not limited to storm water management infrastructure, roadways, highways, roundabouts, trails, airports and parking lots.

This opportunity is available in our Denver, Colorado office location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serves as technical drainage asset on large and/or complex projects.
  • Conducting storm water management, hydraulic and hydrology analysis
  • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits and designs for projects.
  • Provides technical guidance to staff in area of expertise.
  • Quality Control of engineering documents
  • Researches and recommends advances in technical software and other new technology in the filed to improve efficiency

A valid driver's license, and some travel may be requested.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in civil engineering, or related field

--AND-

  • At least eighteen (18) years of relevant engineering experience
  • Professional Engineering License in Colorado required

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)
  • Working with Colorado Communities / Stormwater Managers
  • Working with The Army Corps of Engineers
  • Working with FEMA
  • Capable of running Hec-Ras models/analysis
  • Drainage Experience (Analysis / Reports / Design)
  • Experience with CLOMR / LOMR analysis/submittals
  • Mentoring junior staff

Salary Range: $72.00 - $96.00 (hourly) - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set or location.
