The Opportunity

Join Adobe's Product Security Engineering team to architect and build our next-generation web application security platform, protecting Adobe's diverse portfolio of products across multi-cloud environments. Drive the transformation of security operations through automation, enabling product teams with self-service capabilities while maintaining enterprise-grade protection at scale. What you'll Do
  • Design and implement automated WAF management solutions using AWS WAF Manager and Azure Web Application Firewall at scale
  • Build self-service security platforms enabling product teams to implement custom WAF rules while maintaining security baselines
  • Develop virtual patching capabilities from the ground up, integrating with vulnerability scanners, security advisories, and incident response workflows
  • Build and maintain baseline WAF rulesets and security policies across multiple cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Cloudflare).
  • Engineer log ingestion pipelines from WAFs to data lake infrastructure, implementing streaming solutions for real-time analysis
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand edge service architectures (Envoy gateways) and translate security requirements into technical specifications
  • Fine-tune WAF configurations based on traffic analysis and false positive reduction
  • Build automation tools and frameworks for security operations using modern programming languages
  • Facilitate security architecture decisions through clear communication and collaborative alignment.
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, or 5+ years of practical experience in security engineering with a focus on web application security
  • Deep expertise in at least one programming language (Go, Python, or TypeScript) with working knowledge of others
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure security services, particularly WAF services
  • Strong understanding of web application security principles (OWASP Top 10, common attack vectors)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven ability to build automation solutions from scratch
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts and CDN architectures
  • Strategic approach with the ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills to align across diverse collaborator groups
  • Experience with multiple WAF platforms (AWS, Azure, Akamai, Cloudflare) preferred
  • Knowledge of API gateway patterns, edge proxy services, and data pipeline architectures is a plus
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $140,100 -- $245,700 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
