Summary of Job Duties:The Administrative Specialist III is responsible for coordinating office activities, researching and preparing special reports, and developing, revising, and recommending administrative policies and procedures as directed by supervisor. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

* Serve as the primary receptionist by answering phone calls, directing inquiries, taking messages, and overseeing the operation and maintenance of office equipment, including usage reporting.
*Perform a variety of clerical tasks such as drafting correspondence, preparing meeting minutes, and providing administrative support to Directors, Department Chairs, Faculty, and Students.
* Handle general purchasing duties for office and classroom supplies.
* Manage point-of-sale and reservation systems for CAHMI dining services.
* Coordinate CAHMI events, meetings, and participate in college-sponsored functions as a departmental representative.
* Maintain inventory and organization of instructional materials, office supplies, linens, and event-related items; duties also include laundering linens and staging supplies for CAHMI events.
* Collaborate with the PR/Marketing department by providing content and updates related to student and faculty activities for social media.
* Track and maintain records on current and former students (graduates, transfers, stop-outs, etc.).
* Conduct tours of CAHMI and the LRS campus for prospective students, school groups, and community visitors.
* Process incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence and input program related data.
* Distribute mail and packages to designated areas in both the LRS Auto-Tech and CAHMI buildings.
* Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive or private information.
* Assist with the collection, organization, and presentation of data used for program evaluation and reporting.
* Keep shared workspaces such as the copy room, conference room, and breakroom organized and clean.
* Uphold a professional appearance and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
* Demonstrate proficiency using various software applications and computer or AV systems.
* Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate degree from an accredited institution
* Strong computer skills and experience
* At least one year of customer service experience
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associates degree in Baking, Culinary or Hospitality
* Three years' experience in the hospitality industry
* Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Blackboard and Workday
* Ability to work with a diverse population and develop a rapport with students, co-workers, staff and faculty
