As the VOE coordinator for tabling and in-person outreach, you'll be supporting the Public Policy Manager in nonpartisan voter engagement efforts-meeting people where they are, building trust, and ensuring voters have the information they need to get ready to vote in the 2025 elections. This is a highly active, field-based role, that will engage with community members, particularly those who have and continue to face barriers to voting.

Job requirements:

* Experience in community outreach, grassroots organizing, or civic engagement (paid or volunteer).

* Ability to successfully work in a nonpartisan setting, having conversations with employees and community members in a nonpartisan manner.

* Comfortable initiating conversations with strangers and engaging diverse groups in a nonpartisan, respectful manner.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual or multilingual a plus.

* Self-starter who enjoys working independently and outdoors in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.

* Access to reliable transportation to travel across Hennepin County.

* Familiarity with voter registration processes and key election deadlines.

* Ability to work evenings and weekends, most events will take place on weekends or during evening hours.

Preferred Qualifications

* Fluency in a second language spoken in the target communities (e.g., Spanish, Oromo, Somali, etc.).

* Previous experience in reporting outreach.

* Knowledge of local political landscape and community-based organizations.

Experience
