DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will engage in semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks related to the construction and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and various projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the production of wood shop items, which involves selecting and cutting lumber for signs and kiosks, as well as sanding, routing, staining, and painting these wooden products while following safety protocols. You will also manage lumber on the picnic table assembly line, helping to sort and stack machined components. Additional duties encompass feeding sorted lumber into different woodworking equipment, such as trim saws and planers, and stacking green lumber for air drying at Penn Lumber Yard. Furthermore, you will assist in setting up and removing sunshades and snow fences in nursery beds, as well as sowing and covering seeds in the nursery seedbeds. During the spring lifting season, you will support the lifting of tree seedlings and the collection of forest tree seeds, while also maintaining the fences and gates of the nursery seed orchard. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
