The primary purpose of this position is to process prescription claims; interpret, fill, and verify medication orders; provide excellent customer service; participate in ordering and inventory management; perform vaccinations as authorized; communicate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to achieve high levels of patient care; foster a safety-focused pharmacy practice environment; and complete other record keeping and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements and Preferences


Work Schedule Monday-Friday (19 hours per week)

Minimum Experience/Education

  • License to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina that is in good standing


Department Required Skills

  • License to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina that is in good standing
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to pharmacy services

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • Experience with electronic health records and pharmacy software
  • Experience with an accredited healthcare organization
  • Experience in a college health setting

Required License or Certification

  • Active LPN license to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Current CPR certification
